The retained relationship

You've been carrying it alone long enough.

The Northstar Managed Partnership™ gives you Dr. Japheth Pagel's judgment in the room and Northstar carrying the visibility, preparation, implementation support, and follow-through between visits. You still own the decisions. You stop being the only place the work can move.

What you're actually retaining

Judgment in the room. Sight between visits.

Advice ends when the meeting does. The Managed Partnership keeps a record of what was found, what changed, who owns the next action, what Northstar still can't see, and whether the correction held.

Japheth, personally

Owner to Owner, in the room.

Onsite diagnosis of how the business actually runs. Help structuring and building the sales organization. Live training for the people who carry your name into the field. Owner strategy reviews where the hard things get said out loud. And judgment you can borrow when something gets stuck.

Northstar, between visits

The work stays visible while you run the business.

Northstar prepares the operating picture, captures the decisions, supports the agreed implementation, follows the next actions, reinforces the work, and brings exceptions back to the person who can decide. It doesn't pretend to see an account or system it hasn't been given access to.

Owner decides exceptions, Northstar prepares the picture and tracks next actions, and the team carries agreed work and reports what happened.
Who carries what between visits. You decide the exceptions. Northstar prepares the picture and tracks the next action. Your team carries the agreed work and reports what happened. A sketch of the arrangement, not a client's record.

What happens first

The first thirty days establish sight, ownership, and rhythm.

The exact work follows the signed Order Form. The sequence stays plain: establish what's true, decide what comes first, put the working rhythm in place, and make the next action visible.

Week one

Reality and access

Confirm the operating picture, the people and systems involved, what Northstar may inspect, what remains unknown, and which decision only the owner can make.

Weeks two through four

Correction and cadence

Weekly working sessions, the agreed onsite kickoff or implementation work, named owners, visible next actions, and evidence that shows whether the first correction is holding.

Through day ninety

Transfer

The working rhythm moves to biweekly sessions as your managers, systems, and habits carry more. Northstar keeps the exceptions visible and prepares each owner decision.

What it's for

The empty chair is the point.

The goal was never more dependence on Northstar or on you. It's a company organized enough that the owner's chair can sit empty for an afternoon, a week, a season, and the work still moves. Judgment stays yours. The carrying stops being yours alone.

Said plainly, before any agreement

What this isn't.

Trust survives on the promises you refuse to make. So here are the refusals, in public, before a single form is signed.

No guarantees of outcomes.Northstar does not guarantee revenue, close rates, hiring outcomes, or employee performance. Anyone who guarantees those things is selling you weather.
Not unlimited everything. This is a structured relationship with a real cadence, a defined service geography, and honest response expectations, not unlimited same-day access to one human being.
Not licensed professional advice.Northstar provides business consulting, training, and systems. Legal, tax, accounting, and insurance questions belong with your licensed professionals.

Who this is for

Do you want another plan, or do you want help making the work hold?

Most owners don't lack ideas. They lack enough attention, structure, and follow-through to turn the right ideas into a business that carries the weight on its own.

The Managed Partnership fits service businesses led by an owner who wants the business to change, not just to hear about it: roofing, HVAC, plumbing, trades, and the wider family of businesses that live and die on calls answered, quotes followed, and people developed.

If you want the truth said plainly and the work carried until your people and systems can carry more of it, that's the fit worth testing.

The onsite rhythm is built around Northstar's Indiana home base.

Bring the unpolished version.

The useful part comes first. If the evidence supports a retained relationship, Japheth will explain the scope, owner contribution, private terms, outside costs, and uncertainty plainly enough for you to decide. Truth, Math, or No Deal.

What does it cost?

Our first paid engagement is usually a $995 72-Hour Constraint Sprint when there's one clear problem worth correcting. A Front Door System starts at $1,575 plus $369 a month. The Managed Partnership begins at $3,500 plus $2,000 a month. But I don't know which, if any, makes sense for you until we understand the problem.
